Our School is open Monday through Thursday, 8:30 am - noon, during the school season. We follow the Fort Mill School District calendar, so we observe all openings and closings that the school district observes. We also require students to be age appropriate by September 1st before beginning preschool in the Fall.
We have a late stay program that is offered to our 3 & 4 year olds on Tuesday afternoons. Students can stay for an additional two hours: 12:00-2:00 pm. Students pay an additional fee of $8 per session and bring their lunch.
1-Year-Old Class: Our one-year-old class requires students to be at least 15 months old. This program is designed to be two-days-a-week (Tues & Thurs). The curriculum focuses on the introduction of preschool through the teaching of social skills and small occasional art projects. With a small class size, (1-teacher to 4-students ratio) teachers can focus on giving each child lots of love and attention.
2-Year-Old Class: Our two-year-old class is also designed as a two-day-a-week program (Mon & Wed or Tues & Thurs). The curriculum focuses on the continued learning of social skills. The program also begins to introduce some basic academic themes like: colors, shapes, abc's, and 123's. These themes are introduced through fun learning like centers, circle time, books, and songs. We have a 1-teacher to 6-student ratio in this class.
3-Year-Old Class: Our three-year-old class is designed to be either a three-day-a-week program or a four-day-a-week program (Mon, Tues & Wed or Mon, Tues, Wed & Thurs). The curriculum continues and expands the skills of colors, shapes, abc's, and 123's. Children also begin to explore monthly themes like: animals, all about me, friendship, etc. We have a 1-teacher to 6-student ratio in this class.
4-Year-Old Class: Our four-year-old class is designed to be either a three-day-a-week program or a four-day-a-week program (Mon, Tues & Wed or Mon, Tues, Wed & Thurs). The curriculum focuses on art projects centered on weekly and monthly themes. It also introduces the students to academic themes that encourage readiness for kindergarten. We do teach a phonics based academic program called Frontline Phonics. This program teaches children recognition of their letters, recognition of the letter sounds, skills in writing their letters, and some basic reading skills. We have a 1-teacher to 8-student ratio in this class.
Our 2, 3 and 4-year-old classes are involved in a special music class once a week. We also have a Spanish program once a week for our three-year-old and four-year-old classes. These classes include fun learning through special instructors who use songs and drama activities to encourage learning.
