Grace Youth
Grace provides an exceptional experience for young people emphasizing a well-balanced diet of fellowship, worship, study, outreach and service.
Sunday nights we come together for gYg (Grace Youth Group) for fellowship and a message. Then we split into High School and Middle School small groups to tackle age-appropriate life events and challenges. In September and October we are discussing the series “Storm Watch.”
Overview: Have you ever woken up to thunder so loud you thought the sky really was falling? Or maybe you have listened to the wind scream as it ripped through trees and knocked over fences? Storms can be scary. In the middle of a storm, we know that we are unbelievably out of control. But while physical storms may threaten and terrify us, there are other kinds of storms in life as well. There are storms that rip apart friendships and families. Storms that meet us in a hospital room on a sunny Saturday afternoon. Storms that creep up on so subtly we never saw them coming. Storms like these often leave us asking “Why God?” Over the next three weeks, we’ll talk about storms and how we handle them. http://www.whatisorange.org/xp3students/

For Sunday School we are split into two groups:
Middle School (Room 12), consists of students in 6th – 8th grade. The emphasis is on fun–while building relationships, claiming our faith and growing in. We are currently studying “Stick: Glue yourself to Godly friends.” Overview: Adolescence shifts our focus from parents to peers. Help your middle school students explore the Lord’s vision for iron-sharpens-iron companions—so they glue themselves to godly friendships! Penned by a youth ministry veteran, this in-depth Bible study offers engaging questions and expert insights that teach your students how to find, keep, and be great friends.
High School (Room 11, grades 9-12) students are about to start a new curriculum “Nooma,” by Rob Bell. Each week we will disccus a different topic based on a though provoking dvd in the series like “Whirlwind,” What do we do when there aren’t nice, neat answers? Our class is a place where true, lasting friendships are formed as we seek God’s plan for our present and future. http://store.flannel.org/films/nooma.html
